Support the Arts
Dwindling resources are cutting ways for the community to engage the arts. A community art league organizes programs and events providing a collaborative resource for artists and students to thrive and work together. Established artists within the community join to teach their art to interested people of all ages and abilities throughout the year.
The Art League of Jacksonville does much more than teach art classes to the community… We have assisted, free of charge, many other area non-profits and even public schools. We helped Daniel Kids raise money by working with their kids to create masks which were then auctioned off to raise money for Daniel. We went back to Daniel to continue working with small groups of kids there teaching them how to draw and express themselves in the arts. We helped a non-profit (ACE – Agency for Community Empowerment) in downtown Jacksonville with a large mural for an urban beautification project at no charge. We work with Riverside Arts Market expanding their visual arts impact with Kids Creativity Corner, Student Art Showcase and serve on their arts/vendor committee. We have gone into many Duval and St. Johns County public schools to provide arts programs durring and after school, again free of charge. We offer scholarships to students of all ages and abilities to take classes at the art league and all they have to provide is an interest in the arts. There is much more you give to when you help the art league. So far we have not taken a single tax payer dollar through grants or major donations… saying that because anything you can donate will make a big difference in how fast we can grow and help others. Even volunteering would be appreciated and helpful – plus if you need community service hours we can help you too! Our motto is “imagine and create” – imagine what we can create with your help…
Donate today and bring creativity back into our communities lives. Donate change to make a change.
